12-15-04 The Biotechnology Roundtable, BayBio (www.BayBio.org), Harvard Business School Alumni Association of Northern California (www.hbsanc.org), and the National Venture Capital Association (www.nvca.org) co-hosted a holiday reception for the bioscience community. This event took place at The World Trade Club of San Francisco.

11-10-04 & 11-11-04 The Biotechnology Roundtable was proud to co-host the 12th Annual IBF Biotech Investing Conference entitled “Decoding the 2005 Biotech Industry for Private Equity, Institutional and Corporate Investors”. President of The Biotechnology Roundtable, Arash Michael Davallou, was invited to speak at the conference.
10-12-04 The Biotechnology Roundtable partnered with The Bay Area Bioscience Center to bring life science entrepreneurs and venture investors together at a networking forum. The event entitled "Life Sciences Entrepreneur & Investor Roundtables" will be hosted at the Stanford Faculty Club located at 439 Lagunita Drive, Stanford, CA 94305 from 6 to 9:30 pm.
9-16-04 The Biotechnology Roundtable hosted life science networking event in Berkeley, California, in conjunction with BioBrew-a partner networking organization. 8-4-04 The London Business School Alumni Association has invited our members to participate in a presentation entitled "Challenges for Leaders - What Global Business Capabilities Do You Need to Succeed?" by Dr. Laura Tyson, Dean of LBS. In 2002, Dr. Tyson became London Business School's first female Dean. Previously, Professor Tyson was Dean of the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and prior to that, she was Professor of Economics and Business Administration at the University of California. Professor Tyson served in the Clinton Administration from January 1993 to December 1996. Between February 1995 and December 1996 she served as the President's National Economic Adviser and was one of the highest ranking women in the Clinton White House. 3-4-03 The Board of Directors of The Girvan Institute of Technology at NASA (www.girvan.org) has extended a special invitation to club members to attend its upcoming Nanotechnology Showcase event on 4-11-03. 1-17-03 The Biotechnology Roundtable announces networking and dinner speaking event to be held on April 17th, 2003 with Dr. Edward Penhoet, Partner at Alta Partners and Co-Founder, Director and former CEO / Chairman of Chiron Corporation. Dr. Penhoet is internationally recognized as one of the leading figures in the biotechnology field. Among numerous board positions, he has served on the board of the Biotechnology Industry Organization and the California Healthcare Institute. He is additionally a faculty member at the Molecular and Cell Biology Department of the University of California at Berkeley, and until recently, he was the Dean of Berkeley's School of Public Health. 11-14-02 The Biotechnology Roundtable successfully launches its first event in Massachusetts. Over 80 business alumni from Harvard, Stanford and Wharton gathered at the Elephant Walk Restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts to listen to Professor Juan Enriquez-Cabot, Director of the Life Science Project at Harvard Business School and Ms. Gail Maderis, President of Genzyme Molecular Oncology sharing their perspectives about the industry. The event was sponsored by Fish and Richardson.
11-14-02 The Biotechnology Roundtable announces the addition of two new officers. Andrew Lowenstein ('90 Stanford) and Theodore Ebel ('97 Wharton). Andrew and Theodore will serve to support the organization's activities in the Boston and California areas and will lead the club's activities within the Stanford and Wharton alumni communities. Both of them bring many years of biotechnology industry experience to the group.
5-17-02 The Biotechnology Roundtable successfully launches its alumni networking event in Mountain View, California. Senior executives from local biotechnology companies gather at the Tied House Restaurant for dinner and a discussion regarding the future of the roundtable.
12-18-01 The Biotechnology Roundtable is formed by a group of Harvard Business School alumni active in the industry to promote post-graduation education and networking within the HBS community and the communities of other leading business schools.
